Powertrix Strut Tower Bars & Air Guides Installation

:wavey: Everyone,

This is a small write-up of the installation of my new Powrtrix Strut Tower Bars and Radiator Air Guides installation.

I was visiting Charles Park of Powertrix in San Diego on Dec 12, 2007, and he kindly helped me (did all the work) with the installation.

Installation of the Air Guides was fairly simple and doesn't really require much of a write-up.

Also, installing the front Strut Tower Bar was relatively simple (even for me) to install. Just a little re-routing of some cables. Fortunately for me, Charles modified my throttle cable cover to be able to fit under the front strut tower bar.

The installation of the rear tower bar was a bit more involved as the panels covering the shock actuators had to be marked and cut for the ends of the rear strut tower bar to fit. The templates for marking the panels comes with Charles' kit and even the trim for the cut outs.

The photos that I took pretty much explain better than my words on how to finish the job.

I appended the photos onto my photo gallery shots of my 4th and current 1990 300ZX TT. The installation begins near the bottom of page one of the album. >>Click Here to View<<

Hope this helps someone.

So did you freak out when you cut into the interior panel. I would've.
Nice alternate use of the insulation. I was going to suggest that you get some krylon to spray there, but that's a better idea. And no fumes too. :jivin:

Yes, I was very nervous when Charles started cutting my interior panels. That is why I asked his help in the installation of the tower bars, especially the rear. He knows how to do them properly.:yelclap:
